Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 Company Information
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents ("we", "us" or "our") provide mobile fuel and fluid draining, extraction and contamination removal services throughout the United Kingdom.
We assist customers whose vehicles, machinery, equipment or tanks contain incorrect fuel, AdBlue, water, oil, mixed fuels or other contaminants.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
By requesting, accepting or confirming a booking for our services, whether directly or through a third party, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions take effect immediately upon a booking being accepted and remain in force throughout the booking, attendance and any services provided by Simple Fuel Solutions Limited or its agents.
Where the person making the booking is acting on behalf of the vehicle owner, equipment owner, business or organisation, they confirm they have authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
1.3 Service Descriptions
We specialise in the draining, extraction and removal of contaminated fuels and fluids from fuel tanks, AdBlue tanks and associated systems on cars, vans, HGVs, plant, machinery, agricultural equipment, generators and other vehicles or equipment.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Fuel drain services.
- AdBlue contamination removal.
- Water contamination removal.
- Removal of mixed fuels.
- Removal of oils, incorrect fluids and foreign substances.
- Draining and extraction of contaminated AdBlue tanks and systems.
We are a mobile fuel and fluid extraction service. We are not a vehicle repair business and do not provide mechanical repairs, engine repairs or formal vehicle diagnostics.
Any advice provided regarding vehicle condition, repairs, batteries, filters, warning lights or potential damage is provided on a best-efforts basis only and should not be relied upon as a professional mechanical diagnosis.
1.4 Third-Party and Contractor Bookings
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited may attend on behalf of recovery operators, motoring organisations, fleet operators, insurers, dealerships, contractors, brokers, management companies or other third-party organisations.
Where a booking has been arranged through a third party, additional contractual terms, service agreements or operating procedures may apply.
In the event of any conflict between these Terms & Conditions and the terms agreed between Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and the contracting organisation, the terms agreed with the contracting organisation shall take precedence where required.
Certain charges, procedures, limitations or provisions contained within these Terms & Conditions may not apply where alternative contractual arrangements exist.
2. Scope of Services
2.1 Commencement of Work
Once a booking has been accepted and a technician or agent has been dispatched, the agreed service fee becomes payable.
Once we begin draining contaminated fuel or fluids, or undertake any part of the agreed service, you are liable for the full agreed service fee together with any additional charges incurred, regardless of whether:
- The vehicle or equipment restarts.
- Further faults are identified.
- Additional repairs are required.
- The vehicle requires recovery or transportation.
- Work is interrupted or prevented by circumstances outside our control.
2.2 Fuel and Fluid Draining
Our objective is to remove as much contaminated fuel or fluid as reasonably possible using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
Complete removal cannot be guaranteed due to vehicle design, tank configuration, fuel system design, contamination type and other factors outside our control.
2.3 No Guarantee of Restart
Where safe and appropriate, we may attempt to restart a vehicle following the draining process.
Any restart attempt is provided as a courtesy only.
We do not guarantee that any vehicle, machine or equipment will start, restart, remain operational or remain fault-free following our attendance.
If a vehicle or piece of equipment cannot be restarted following the draining process, our service shall be deemed complete once the contaminated fuel or fluid has been removed to the extent reasonably possible. The vehicle or equipment may then require diagnosis, inspection or repair by a garage, dealership, repairer or other suitably qualified person.
2.4 Post-Service Recommendations
Because residual contamination may remain and contamination-related damage may not become immediately apparent, our technicians may provide recommendations following attendance.
Recommendations may include:
- Refilling with the correct fuel or fluid.
- Using fuel additives or treatments.
- Fuel filter replacement.
- AdBlue system maintenance.
- Battery charging or replacement.
- Further diagnostics, inspection or repair.
It is the customer's responsibility to follow any recommendations provided.
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents accept no responsibility for faults, breakdowns, battery failures, warning lights, starting issues or other problems arising where our recommendations have not been followed.
Any revisit requested after our recommendations have not been followed shall be treated as a new chargeable attendance and charged accordingly.
3. Special Conditions for AdBlue, Water or Other Contamination
3.1 Higher Risk of Damage
Vehicles and equipment contaminated with AdBlue, water or other substances are at significantly higher risk of damage to tanks, pumps, injectors, filters, sensors, emissions systems, engines and associated components.
Contamination-related damage may already exist prior to our attendance or may only become apparent after contaminated fuel or fluids have been removed.
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents are engaged solely to remove contaminated fuel or fluids and are not responsible for damage caused by the original contamination event, pre-existing faults, hidden contamination-related damage, corrosion, crystallisation, component failure or faults which become apparent before, during or after our attendance.
3.2 Extended Draining Process
Removing AdBlue, water or similar contaminants often requires additional time and specialist procedures compared to standard misfuelling incidents.
While we will use reasonable efforts to remove contamination, complete removal cannot be guaranteed without additional mechanical work which falls outside the scope of our service.
3.3 Professional Inspection
We strongly recommend that any vehicle or equipment contaminated with AdBlue, water or other substances undergoes professional inspection and diagnosis following our attendance.
We may also recommend immediate fuel filter replacement and further replacement after a period of use.
4. Fees, Payment and Cancellations
4.1 Service Fees
The service fee quoted and agreed at the time of booking covers attendance and the fuel or fluid drain service described during the booking process.
Where the drain is successfully completed, any additional labour, products, services or procedures requested by the customer or required during attendance may incur additional charges.
Additional services are charged at £75 plus VAT per hour (£90 including VAT), calculated in 20-minute increments of £25 plus VAT (£30 including VAT).
Additional services may include, but are not limited to:
- Fuel supply.
- Fuel additives and treatments.
- Diagnostic code reading or clearing.
- Fuel system flushing.
- Spark plug removal or cleaning.
- Recovery assistance.
- Specialist equipment use.
- Additional labour or attendance time.
- Service packages.
Fuel supplied is currently charged at £23.99 including VAT per 10 litres.
Fuel additives, treatments and supplementary products are chargeable at the applicable rate at the time of supply.
Service packages may be offered which include fuel, additives and additional services. Acceptance of any package electronically, verbally or in writing constitutes acceptance of the associated charges.
By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you authorise Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents to provide and charge for any additional services, products or procedures accepted by the customer during attendance.
4.2 Charges, Waiting Time and Uncompleted Services
If a technician attends but is unable to perform or complete the fuel or fluid drain due to:
- No contamination being present.
- Unsafe conditions.
- Inaccessible vehicle, equipment or tank.
- Mechanical faults or system failures.
- Customer refusal.
- Incorrect information provided at the time of booking.
- Any circumstance outside our reasonable control.
A minimum attendance charge of £75 plus VAT (£90 including VAT) shall apply, together with any additional charges incurred.
Waiting time exceeding 10 minutes is chargeable at £75 plus VAT per hour (£90 including VAT), calculated in 20-minute increments of £25 plus VAT (£30 including VAT).
Any additional labour, specialist procedures, products, services, waiting time or attendance time incurred before work is abandoned or cancelled shall remain chargeable.
4.3 Cancellation Charges
If a booking is cancelled after a technician or agent has been travelling for 15 minutes or more, cancellation charges shall apply.
Cancellation time is charged at £75 plus VAT per hour (£90 including VAT), calculated in 20-minute increments of £25 plus VAT (£30 including VAT).
Chargeable time includes travel time to the customer's location and return travel time to our operating base.
Any waiting time, additional labour, products, services or other costs incurred prior to cancellation shall remain chargeable.
4.4 Payment Terms
Payment may be taken before, during or after attendance at our discretion.
Accepted payment methods include cash, card and bank transfer.
Any deposit or payment made becomes non-refundable once a technician or agent has been dispatched.
5. Safety Guidelines
5.1 Work Area Safety
Keep at least 5 metres away from our service vehicle, your vehicle and any coned-off area.
Do not enter the vehicle or work area while the service is being carried out.
5.2 Smoking and Mobile Phones
Smoking, vaping and unnecessary mobile phone use are prohibited near the work area.
5.3 Customer Cooperation
You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions given by our technicians and agents.
5.4 Vehicle Security
During the course of our service, it may be necessary for a vehicle or piece of equipment to be left running and temporarily unattended while our technicians carry out checks, inspections, draining procedures, obtain equipment, access our service vehicle or perform other tasks associated with the service.
The customer remains responsible for the security of their vehicle, equipment and contents at all times.
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents shall not be liable for theft, attempted theft, unauthorised access, loss of property or damage occurring while a vehicle or piece of equipment is left running or unattended during the normal course of our work, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
6. Liability
6.1 Service Limitation
Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents are engaged solely to remove contaminated fuel or fluids.
We are not responsible for:
- The original contamination event.
- Pre-existing faults or defects.
- Hidden contamination-related damage.
- Corrosion, crystallisation or component failure.
- Customer failure to follow recommendations.
- Mechanical faults identified before, during or after attendance.

Our observations are based solely on information provided by the customer and the condition of the vehicle or equipment at the time of attendance.
We do not provide formal mechanical diagnoses.
Our attendance may affect manufacturer warranties and it is your responsibility to check any warranty implications before authorising work.
6.3 No Guarantee of Complete Removal
Complete removal of contaminants cannot be guaranteed due to vehicle design and system limitations.
A small amount of contamination may remain and may result in future issues.
6.4 Spills and System Risks
Due to the nature of fuel extraction, fluid transfer and work on pressurised systems, minor spills, leaks, staining, odours or contamination may occur despite reasonable precautions being taken.
While reasonable care will be exercised, Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents shall not be liable for losses arising from pre-existing defects, corrosion, system failures, contamination-related failures or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
7. Disposal of Contaminated Fuel and Fluids
All fuel, AdBlue, water, oils or other contaminated fluids removed during attendance become the property of Simple Fuel Solutions Limited for recycling and disposal in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.
8. Authorisation to Access Vehicle or Equipment
8.1 Permission to Access
By authorising our services, you permit Simple Fuel Solutions Limited and its agents to access, disconnect, reconnect, remove and refit any components reasonably required to perform the service.
This may include access through the vehicle interior, access panels, fuel lines, filters, pumps, tanks and associated components.
While reasonable care will be taken, we are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing defects, corrosion, contamination-related failures, hidden weaknesses or component failures encountered during normal service procedures.
8.2 Customer Obligations
You agree to:
- Remove personal belongings from areas requiring access.
- Disclose known hazards, modifications or previous repairs.
- Ensure safe access to the vehicle, equipment or site.
9. Data Protection
We collect only the personal information reasonably required to provide our services.
Information may be retained for administration, quality assurance, customer support, marketing and legal compliance purposes.
We do not sell customer information to third parties.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
The Scottish courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with any quotation, invoice or booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all previous communications and understandings.
13. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
The version in force at the time of booking shall apply to the service provided.
